Summer Events
We invite you to compete in our Centerpoint Amazing Race Challenge! Gather a team of friends or family members and join us for some fun activities and events throughout the summer to collect points. Whether you can make it to all of the scheduled events or just a few, we hope that this is an opportunity to create deeper community while having fun together. If you don't want to compete, that's okay! You can still participate in as many of the events and activities as you would like. We are looking forward to a fun summer together.
Scheduled EVENTS
Pizza, Pop & Puzzle Night
Bring your team and your appetite to Hawarden on June 28th at 6:30. Each team will need to finish a large pizza, a two liter of pop, and a puzzle.
Water Kickball & Meal Night
Slip and slide into fun on July 8th at 5:30 in Sioux Center. We will share a meal and play a game of water kickball.
Outdoor Movie Night
Join us in Sioux Center on August 2nd 8:00 for an outdoor family movie night with popcorn and candy!
Final Scavenger Hunt
We'll finish up our Amazing Race Challenge with a scavenger hunt around Sioux Center on August 16th.
Anytime Activities
Walk Up the Oak Grove Hill
Explore Oak Grove Park in Hawarden, and send us a picture or video of your team walking up the big hill.
Escape Rooms
Bring your team and see how fast you can escape. The fastest time in each room gets 100 extra points!
Go Somewhere in Fun Costumes
Go on an adventure with your team in themed costumes. Send us a picture and tell us your theme.
Popsicle Stick Bridge Challenge
Pick up your supplies at Pizza, Pop, and Puzzle Night (or from the office) and build the strongest bridge. We'll test them at water kickball.
Visit Siouxnami Waterpark
Have some fun in the sun with your group at Siouxnami Waterpark and send us a picture.
Singing Telegram
Come to the Central Services office during work hours (Monday-Thursday) and give a 30 second performance for the church staff.
Visit Route 10 Restaurant
Eat a meal or a snack with your team at Route 10 Restaurant in Hawarden and send us a picture of your receipt.
Deliver With Hope Food Pantry
Email [email protected] to sign up and help deliver meals with Hope Food Pantry on June 30th or July 28th. Send us a picture of your team delivering meals together!
